Birds Nest

Seen the famous Birds Nest today. A really neat looking building from the outside and enormous on the inside. Also David is very approachable with the local street vendors.

Great Wall

The Great Wall of China is something to see the walls follows the contour of the mountains and at some points has an 80 degree slope. We walked it for a while even though it was very exhausting with the stairs and huge slopes. An half an later we called it quits -talk about going on a trend mill and a stair climber all at once. Of course it had the shopping centers and even a Starbucks if you really needed coffee to get you heart pumping :).

Monastery and Fishing Village

Spent Sunday going to a Monastery by ways of a 20 minute skyrail onthe island of Lantau a island suburb of Hong Kong. This was really neat since you could see the lush mountains water falls very exciting. We seen the world's largest Budda 31 meters in height and weighing 250 tons at the Po Lin Monastery. We also visited a ancient fishing village at Tai O with tradational stilt houses. In the village they sold fish fresh and dried. The dried fish kinda ruined my desire for having fish tonight though (yuck). The whole day was pretty exciting I am posting a few pictures but took about 100.

Evening view of Hong Kong

Here are some pictures of the evening view of the city.

In Hong Kong

Made it to Hong Kong on Saturday at 10:30am that's 10:30pm your time on Friday. The buildings are fantastic and lots of hills here they remind me of San Franciso. We walked through the park and took a tram to the top of one of the hills to over look the city and Victoria Bay. There is a haze over the city which I found out is smog coming over from China. I am Pretty beat up today from the 2:45am flight but still plan to go out tonight and see what I can find. I will post more over the next couple of days

The taj

Spent all day going to the Taj Mahal. It was a 4 hour car ride thru a lot of different towns each one was completly different than one another. I seen cows all over the place even a dead one in the middle of the road, camels, oxen , donkeys and even monkeys in the streets blocking traffic hence the 4 hours to go about 150 miles. All this was on a main highway a heck of a lot different than our interstates. The Taj Mahal is beautiful I could only take pictures of the outside since inside ones were not allow. Inside was fantastic with the inlaid gems in marble and when you touch it it was as smooth as glass. I can see why it is one of the 7 wonders of the world.
Food here is to my liking lots of spices not to hot though but just enough to make your nose run a bit. Tomorrow and Tuesday are meetings all day I don't expect to post anything. Travel Tuesday night to Chenni in southern India for meets on Wednesday- Friday.
Will post when I can.
